HUNTER’S HILL COUNCIL CONGRATULATED ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARD
Member for Lane Cove, Anthony Roberts, has congratulated Hunter’s Hill Council on taking out a major award at the recent Local Government Awards Dinner in Sydney.
Hunter’s Hill Council took out the award in the category – Special Project Initiative (Population under 15,000).
“The council’s project – Defining Future Gladesville – When a Vision Statement is Not Enough, is a sobering, impartial and informative look at the district through the coming decades,” said Mr Roberts.
“I congratulate the councillors and staff for their dedication and foresight in serving the residents of the area”.
The Local Government Awards Dinner celebrated outstanding achievements of dedicated employees across all levels of local government.
“Local government ingenuity and innovation is helping councils work smarter and deliver even better services for ratepayers and I would like to thank everyone working for and with local government for their dedication and hard work, particularly throughout this period of transition,” Mr Roberts said.
The annual Local Government Awards Dinner is organised by the Local Government Professionals Australia, NSW (LGPA) to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the sector and acknowledges both project-based initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Local Government Minister Gabrielle Upton said these awards helped put a spotlight on local government professionals across the state.
