The Hon. Anthony Roberts MP, has wished students in Lane Cove good luck in their HSC exams.
Written exams, which account for up to 50 per cent of results in many HSC courses, began t his week and conclude on Friday November 11.
More than 760 exam centres in Australia and around the world will be the venue for 117 different exam papers.
"The HSC is a major investment in the future of New South Wales," said Mr Roberts.
“I’d like to wish all students in Lane Cove sitting their HSC exams the best of luck. Remember all that is expected is that you do your best."
While the HSC remains a vital introduction to university studies, it has now evolved into a world class credential that encourages students to explore a wide range of subjects that suit their interests, abilities, and potential career paths.
"Students no longer need to leave school to begin to develop the skills and knowledge essential to a successful and rewarding role in the workforce.
Approximately 30 per cent of all HSC students are enrolled in a VET course and will gain nationally recognised employment qualifications along with their HSC," Mr Roberts said
"The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is committed to the delivery of courses that help every student realise their potential and an education system that is equitable," Mr Roberts concluded.
