Well: Do you have another date circled between now and then, with the notation "car service"?

The Member for Lane Cove, the Hon. Anthony Roberts, says he heard a "lot of stories" last year, from constituents saying "their car didn't last the journey" between here, there and back again.

Mr Roberts says "don't put it off … pick up the phone to your mechanic and make a date."

"Peace of mind is knowing the brakes will slow you / stop you when called upon."

"Likewise new oil and (perhaps) an oil filter might keep you on the road, not on its side, waiting for a tow."

"A check of the groove in your car's tyres could be holiday life-saving. The mechanic will also see that the pressure in your on-road tyres (plus the spare!) is up to the vehicle's standards."

"Drive safely this summer. Enjoy the getaway and then come back to the greatest electorate in NSW," concluded Mr Roberts.
