APPLICATIONS FOR YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL CLOSE AT START OF NEXT WEEK Print E-mail

The member for Lane Cove, the Hon. Anthony Roberts, has encouraged local youth with a strong commitment to our community to apply to join the NSW Youth Advisory Council.

“The Council is made up of 12 young people - aged between 12 and 24 years, who report directly to the Minister for Citizenship and Communities, Victor Dominello MP, who is responsible for youth affairs,” Mr Roberts said.

“The Youth Advisory Council meets regularly throughout the year with their advice and suggestions regarding issues that are important to young people playing a direct role in the development of government policy."

“Every year hundreds of young people across the state apply to join the Youth Council and candidates with strong links to their community, experience in committees and with a dedication to youth issues are highly sought after."

“In Lane Cove we are fortunate to have many outstanding young people who would be great assets to the Youth Advisory Council and I strongly encourage anyone interested to apply before October 24,” Mr Roberts said.
