Each year in NSW politicians join Small businesses to work as part of the NSW Business Chamber annual Pollies for Small Business program.

This year Anthony Roberts MP, Member for Lane Cove, spent the day helping out at the Betta Electrical Store in Gladesville.

“I really enjoy working in local businesses each year and I have found that customers are happy to speak to me about local problems and issues” Anthony Roberts said.

“I always learn a great deal speaking the both the staff and customers.

“Reg Cain and the crew at Betta Electrical were more than helpful to their customers.

Small Business not only provide goods and services they also provide a wealth of expertise gained after years in the trade and are always happy to pass it on to the customers.

“I believe this program is a fantastic opportunity for politicians to see first hand how small business runs on a day-today basis.

“This program also highlights the benefits of becoming involved in the local Chamber of Commerce ” said Mr Roberts.
