Anthony Roberts, Member for Lane Cove, encourages all Community groups involved in crime prevention, road safety, emergency readiness and the environment to visit www.nrma.com.au/grants and register their interest. “Grants range from $500 to $5000 and applications will open on March 1st. “If your group, club or organisation is seeking to change the behaviour on our roads and reduce the likelihood and severity of road accidents; or Increasing safety and security in local communities by reducing the opportunity for crime; or Focusing on creating awareness about the importance of preparation and response in relation to minimising the likelihood or severity of incidences in and around the home; or Raising awareness and/or promote actions to combat climate change. Programs that focus on areas such as renewable energy and carbon reduction will also be considered. “This is a great opportunity for many of our local groups to tap into some additional assistance, said Anthony Roberts MP. |
